SANDMAN

DJing from 1984 to the present, Todd Perrine (SANDMAN) has been a DJ, producer, and remixer of a variety of genres for over 40 years. He is a resident of Old School Fridays (Wesley’s, Toledo), an 20-year-running weekly event that covers the spectrum of funk, R&B, new jack swing, remixes, mash-ups, rock, soul, reggae, old school hip hop, disco, and booty music. It is Toledo’s longest-running themed night in its history.

As an original member of Bang Tech 12 since ’96, Perrine is known for playing deep and chuggy house, along with just about every other genre he gets his hands on. He has played alongside some of the world’s best DJs and artists, as well as at some of the world’s best conferences and festivals such as WMC, DEMF, Movement, Charivari, SCP Backpack Music Festival, and Tec-Troit, and in countries like Canada, France, and Germany, along with old superclubs such as Soma (CO), Motor Lounge (MI), and Velvet Room (Windsor). Todd’s most notable performance was being the DJ for Coolio, Young MC, and Naughty by Nature, as well as opening sets for DJs Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Mark Farina, and Sugarhill Gang, RunDMC- among many others.

His music productions and remixes have been released on Moehouse Records, Red Robot, Soiree Records Int, Breakbeat Paradise, and RF Music, with releases as MATTIMOE | PERRINE (with Nathan Mattimoe), PH Concept (with Laura Indorf), and under his moniker, the SANDMAN.
