Okay, here’s the deal. My short version GFF biography says that I’m “a lifelong multi-instrumentalist & DJ/producer who somehow ended up in the Ozarks.”

Yes, that is true. I DJ, I play drums, guitar, bass – I can fake piano pretty well… but what a lot of people don’t know is that I basically gave up on musical endeavors for over a decade. Too many failed projects, lack of support, and mental health all played a role, and for a long time I just figured it would be wasted skill, lost to the ether. So yeah, playing instruments is cool, but not if you don’t do anything with it.

Over the years, I’d had several friends and family members who suggested I showcase myself somehow, to sort of “get back out there…” and I started DJing on Twitch around the end of December 2022 as a way to test the waters and get some self-confidence.

The feedback was overwhelming. I decided to continue as a way to not only promote myself, but my friends, as well, all while under the motto “Thanks For Being Alive.” A simple, seemingly silly phrase that holds so much more meaning under the surface.

Two years later, it’s almost as if I never stopped creating music, and I have a multitude of strangers-turned-friends all over the globe to thank for that. I’ve surpassed several of my own (thought to be unrealistic) goals and I’ve been able to donate proceeds from merch sales to mental health non-profits.

It’s definitely not the path I would have chosen, but I’m having fun.
