DJ Flek C, a veteran of New Zealand’s electronic music scene, with over two decades of experience, Flek C’s sound is a unique blend of Breakbeat, Baseline & Garage, Old Skool, and Breakbeat Hardcore through to Jungle and Drum and Bass. This reflects his deep love for underground music and breakbeat music.
He first made his mark in Christchurch’s vibrant rave scene during the late 1990s/2000s and as a founding member of the infamous “Rinsed” crew performing at clubs and outdoor parties where his eclectic mix of breakbeat, hardcore, and jungle won him a devoted following.
He has also shared the stage with other respected international names including Elite Force, Meat Katie, DJ Luna-C, DJ Sharkey and many more. Always focusing on delivering sets that celebrate the underground sounds he holds dear. His sets, often infused with everything from old-school breakbeats to UK Garage, reflect a deep respect for the roots of the genres he plays, as well as a drive to push them forward.
Now based in Wellington, Flek C remains an integral part of the local and international music community. While he continues to perform live, his passion for reaching wider audiences has seen him actively engage with fans on platforms like Twitch, where he regularly streams his sets.
