Global Funk Fam is a community built around a simple idea: great music is better when it’s shared.

Since 2020, GFF has grown from a small online community into a global network of DJs, producers, music lovers, events, raid trains, festivals, collaborations and artist discovery tools. Some people arrive looking for new music. Some are looking for opportunities, connections or experience. Others simply want to find their people. Whatever brought you here, you’re welcome.

The philosophy is straightforward: support good music, help others get discovered, stay curious, leave the ego at the door and don’t be a dick. Everything else, from Artist Profiles and New Music to events, schedules, community projects and discovery tools, exists to support those ideas.

Below you’ll find what can only be described as the Funk version of War and Peace. We’ve tried to answer just about every question we can think of about GFF, how it works, what it offers and how to get the most from it. Don’t panic, nobody expects you to read the whole thing. That’s why we’ve organised everything into sections and added search to help you jump straight to what interests you.

We’re a transparent community that genuinely wants to help people. Whether that’s helping artists get discovered, helping listeners find their next favourite DJ, helping organisers connect with artists, helping people gain experience in the music industry or simply helping good humans find their tribe.

If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, please get in touch. We’re always happy to help.

After all, people can’t support what they can’t find, help us help you, and we’re stronger supporting each other than competing with each other.
