Canadian Breakin

I have been a life, long lover of electronic music. My childhood was all about the Beastie Boys and Run DMC. Onward into the 90s, I fell madly in love with The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers which led me to the rave scene.

I was a professional Toronto raver from 1997 – 2003 and I spent the majority of my free time on dance floors at parties, having the best time of my life. Even though I love the music and I always wanted to be a DJ life never worked out that way.

Then some really life-changing stuff happened and in 2018 I was diagnosed with advanced kidney failure and I was very sick. The miracle of my story is that my wife of 25 years, Amanda was a direct kidney match for me (which is very rare for a spouse) and she saved my life.

I successfully received a kidney transplant in November 2019. It takes about 3 to 4 months to heal from the surgery and right when I started to feel amazing I wanted to experience the world Covid broke out in 2020.

I had no idea how I was going to survive in quarantine for so long, and then I discovered Twitch and I met some awesome friends, and together our community started the Global Funk Fam.

When everything started, I was a moderator for 30+ streamers and I was the official Hype Man for Funklectic, DJ Maculate, and the entire Global Funk Fam.

Thanks to the genuine encouragement of my friends in the Fam I decided to give djing a try, and I’ve never regretted it for a minute. I specialize in Breakbeats although I prefer the term Breaks but I love everything funky with a baseline.

Beyond being a DJ, a viewer, a moderator, an event planner, this is my social life, and I have met some of the best people on the planet
